Monroe Ladies Golf Association

The Monroe Ladies Golf Association was founded in 1970 at the Monroe Golf & Country Club by Shan Taylor and Flonny Carrollton to promote golf and provide fellowship among women in the community.

Today the association is 55 members strong and hosts a number of events throughout the year.

From the first Tuesday in March until the first Tuesday in November, the association is active, gathering for play every Tuesday morning at 9:00 a.m. and holding a luncheon meeting following the round in the first week of each month.

The association holds a number of annual events, including its Tee Party Luncheon and Tournament in May, the Scotch Foursome in September and the MLGA Championship in October. Member-Member and Member-Guest tournaments are also held.

The association is affiliated with the Northeast Georgia Women’s Golf Association. The group travels to play and hosts women from across the region as part of the NGWGA activities.

All ladies are invited and encouraged to participate. For information, please contact the Pro Shop at (770) 267-8424.
